Holistic Wellness

What is Holistic Wellness?

Picture
In simple terms, ‘Holistic’ means looking at the ‘Whole person’, the physical, mental and emotional, as well as spiritual aspects of an individual person and their lifestyle. It refers to an approach to wellness rather than a treatment and focuses on the underlying cause of any issue, as opposed to the symptoms. It also implies a more natural approach to prevent or treat illness and encourages and supports people to lead a happier, healthier, more fulfilled life based on wholeness and healthy living.
It is important to recognise that is does not take the place of all traditional medicine, and should not be seen as ‘alternative’, but more as ‘complimentary’. Everyone is unique and different forms of healthcare will vary from person to person, according to their beliefs and individuality.
Examples of Holistic modalities, sometimes called techniques or therapies, include; Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Kinesiology, Neuro-Training, Massage, Hypnotherapy, Herbal Medicine, Reflexology, Reiki, Aromatherapy, and Holistic Nutrition, to name but a few.
The body has its own innate healing intelligence, which always does its best to care for itself, however we all face times in our lives when there is a need to assist or create balance to achieve this optimum natural state.

To experience optimum health and wellbeing, we must maintain balance in all areas of our lives:
Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual.

With Gina there is an emphasis for focusing on the emotions behind the symptoms. In our society, due to conformity and social conditioning, we are not encouraged to express our emotions. We are constantly reading articles on how we should have happy thoughts and be positive all the time. If we do not honour our emotions, they can manifest in our bodies and lead to all sorts of health-related problems. Scientist, Candace B. Pert PH.D, explained this so beautifully in her ground-breaking book ‘Molecules of Emotion’. She explains “All emotions are healthy, because emotions are what unite the mind and the body. Anger, fear, and sadness, the so-called negative emotions, are as healthy as peace, courage, and joy. To repress these emotions and not let them flow freely is to set up a dis-integrity in the system, causing it to act at cross-purposes rather than as a unified whole. The stress this creates, which takes the form of blockages and insufficient flow of peptide signals to maintain function at the cellular level, is what sets up the weakened conditions that can lead to disease. All honest emotions are positive emotions.”

A session with Gina incorporates a unique blend of Life Coaching, Neuro-Training with Kinesiology, along with a range of other personal development tools and techniques, to help identify any imbalances or blockages that are preventing you from achieving optimal health and wellbeing and will support you to create new patterns of behaviour, enabling you to live a vibrant, happy and fulfilled life, being free to live and love as you choose.

"My anxiety had become debilitating. I can't thank Gina enough for helping me to identify the underlying fear and enabling me to free myself from the awful pattern I'd created and to move forward in my life."

What is Neuro-Training?

Neuro-Training is a relatively new modality and is made up of a blend of other ancient health philosophies. It helps people to recuperate from various events in their life that have caused mental, emotional, physical or energetic patterns, or habits to form, that are not helpful or beneficial to that individual’s health and wellbeing.

What is Kinesiology?

Picture
Kinesiology is the gentle art of muscle testing to identify any stresses or blockages in the body on a mental, emotional or physical level. When we are not able to adapt effectively in any area of our life, the central nervous system is affected, when detected by the brain it impacts on the neurological circuit and causes a muscle response. This response allows the practitioner to connect with the subconscious mind and to identify imbalances in the body.

Neuro Training with Kinesiology

There are many modalities that use Kinesiology as part of their therapy as a monitoring tool. Neuro-Training with Kinesiology retrains the nervous system to adapt and function better so the recuperation process can take place. Neuro-Training with Kinesiology does not treat or diagnose diseases, instead the focus is on imbalances in the body's energy.  Apparent symptoms are the body’s way of expressing imbalances, often the underlying cause has been supressed or repressed and is not always available to the conscious mind. Once any imbalances are identified, the appropriate techniques can be applied to help replace old patterns with better neurological options, with a focus for the individual to take responsibility for their recuperation.

What is Life Coaching?

Picture
Life coaching is a very powerful process that supports and nurtures you through change, whether you are wanting to improve your personal life and relationships, or are seeking to enhance or further your career, one to one coaching is a very powerful process that supports you to recognise your true authentic self and to unleash the constraints of social conditioning that may be holding you back. Raising your self-awareness to discover your natural hidden treasures and talents can bring your authentic creative visions to life, allowing you to shine with integrity.

A coaching session is a very effective collaboration between coach and coachee. The relationship is non-judgemental and is purely to support and encourage you to achieve your desired goals. True coaching is non-directive, it does not seek to control people or impose solutions. Instead, it enables you to use your own innate internal and external resources, which you may have lost touch with due to conformity and social conditioning. It takes place through conversation, which is dynamic, focused and challenging at times, but always supportive and aimed to move you forward in life. Coaching raises awareness and encourages you to take responsibility for your decisions and actions, a true gift that enables you to step into your ‘own’ power and feel in control of your own life.

What are the benefits of a Neuromotions session?

  • Raised awareness of natural resources to support a vibrant, healthy and more fulfilled lifestyle

When an individual is considering any form of Holistic Medicine, it is always advisable to consult with a doctor to ensure that any it will compliment any existing medical or pharmaceutical treatment they may be undergoing. Many more GP’s are supportive of patients seeking any additional or complimentary natural health support, especially when it relates to the mental and emotional wellbeing of their patients. To find a GP that supports your choices in health care, ask around and do your research. It is so important to find the right doctor that supports your healthcare choices and understands the benefits that can be achieved by both traditional medicine and holistic health working together.
